Day 11 High School Spirit

Up at 7:30 a.m. - 8 hours of sleep. weight - 181 lbs. 8:30 a.m. - drank 16 oz. of pomegranate-cranberry juice, diluted 1/3 water 9:45 a.m. - taught lesson and class. 12:30 p.m. - drank 12 oz. of fresh apple-carrot-ginger juice. 3:00 p.m. - I gave a talk to a full classroom of about 40 students at Moline High School. I spoke of how I got involved in Guinness records, about the origin of Push ups for Peace and a little about Fast in the Life Lane, the documentary. (We were filming the documentary right there). They also heard about the importance or fitness, sacrificing to serve others and the importance of body-mind-spirit working together to achieve a goal (I illustrated this by punching through a board). I also told them story of Suzanne Mitchell, an 11 year old girl who believed in the idea of Push ups for Peace and did 300 push ups at last year's event just a few weeks before her untimely death. At the end of the speech the 15 students and the teacher committed to participating on April 30 at Push ups for Peace. I was very impressed with the turn out considering these students came on their own time after school. 4:30 - Taught classes till 7:00 p.m. Drank a 20 oz. Gatorade during that time. 7:30 p.m. 0ut the door and home early. (Early for me anyway).
